X-RAY COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS

Virtual Workshop Series

Learn how to use various X-ray CT tools, including micro- and submicron-resolution CT scanners and CT image analysis software tools. We used application examples from materials and life science research and tried different methods while interacting with the live audience. Email us at imaging@rigaku.com if you have any questions or requests for future workshop topics.

1. Micro-CT Data Collection Techniques

A live demonstration of X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) measurements using a benchtop micro-CT scanner. The audience will participate in selecting scanning conditions and compare different results. We will discuss how to optimize various parameters, such as X-ray energy, resolution, scan time, and sample preparation. We also encourage the participants to ask questions about the challenges they face with their CT measurements and discuss them together

2. High-resolution CT Data Collection Techniques

A live demonstration of X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) measurements using a high-resolution X-ray microscope. The audience will participate in selecting scanning conditions and compare different results. We will discuss how to optimize various parameters, such as X-ray energy, resolution, scan time, and sample preparation. We also encourage the participants to ask questions about the challenges they face with their CT measurements and discuss them together.

3. CT Data Analysis Techniques Using Dragonfly

A live demonstration of X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) data analysis using Dragonfly (Object Research Systems). You don’t need a prior experience with, or a license of Dragonfly to enjoy this workshop. The audience will participate in selecting segmentation methods and compare different results. We will also discuss how to segment CT images and apply quantitative analyses to them. We also encourage the participants to ask questions about the challenges they face with their CT data analysis and discuss them together.

4. CT Data Analysis Techniques Using ImageJ

A live demonstration of X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) data analysis using ImageJ (an open platform for scientific image analysis). You don’t need any commercial software licenses to enjoy this workshop. We will review the basic operations of ImageJ and analyze CT images. All data sets used in the demonstration are available to the audience. We encourage the participants to download the Fiji distribution of ImageJ and demo data sets and follow the process with us.

5. Micro-CT Data Collection Techniques - Part 2

We also encourage the participants to ask questions about the challenges they face with their CT measurements and discuss them together.

6. High-resolution CT Data Collection Techniques - Part 2

7. CT Data Analysis Using Dragonfly - Part 2

8. Viewers Choice: CT Data Analysis Techniques Using ImageJ

A live demonstration of X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) data analysis using ImageJ (an open platform for scientific image analysis). You don’t need any commercial software licenses to enjoy this workshop. This is part 2 of the ImageJ workshop, and we will review the more advanced operations of ImageJ. All data sets used in the demonstration are available to the audience. We encourage the participants to download the Fiji distribution of ImageJ and demo data sets and follow the process with us.
