X-RAY CT FOAMS AND COMPOSITES APPLICATIONS
X-ray CT analysis for foams and composites
X-ray CT (computed tomography) provides 3D images of foams and composites non-destructively. You can obtain thousands of slices in one scan without sectioning the sample. This allows us to analyze pore size, shape, and cell wall thickness of foams or filler and fiber size, shape, distribution, and orientation in composites.
Application examples:
- Porosity and pore size distribution analysis
- Cell wall thickness analysis
- Fiber orientation analysis
